Clinical Study of Choriocarcinoma

Abstract
Clinical study of 44 cases of choriccarcinoma was studied at Kyung-Pook University Hospital from 1963 to 1967.
And the results were summarized as follows;
1. 1 C4oriocarcino I ma was-.found frequently in third decades and ranged 25 years tQ 52 years- old.
2. Multigravida experienced higher incidence of this disease.
3. Choriocarcinoma developed following hydatid m in 36.4% of 44 choriocarcinoma cases and 31.8%¢¥o was normal delivery and remaining 31.8% was abortion.
4. The most frequent symptom was vaginal bleeding which was seen about 93.2% of this study group.
S. Metastatic lesions are showed in 59.1 % of this study group and lung metastasis appeared 47.7f/o of metastatic.16sion, 36.4% in vagina, 9.1% in pelvic and adnexal organ, 6.8% in vulva and 2.3% in brain.
6. Hystrectomy was frequent management of this study group and composed 50%0 of cases, and 25% of cases treated with chemotherapy and craniotomy carried out in one case and 22.70/o received non-specific therapy.
7. More effective results were obtained in early treatment group than delayed therapy.
